Buying Old Key West DVC Resale

Before you compare Old Key West prices, find out which contract you are looking at. Old Key West sells as two distinct products. The original contract expires January 31, 2042. An extended contract runs to January 31, 2057, because some owners paid Disney in 2011 to add those years. Both pay the same annual dues.

Original 2042 Versus Extended 2057

The difference is 15 years of point allotments. As of 2026, an original contract has about 16 years left and an extended one has about 31. The asking prices reflect that gap:

• Original 2042 contracts: As of October 2026, resale listings on this site were asking an average of $93.55 per point across 86 listings, from $69 to $136.
• Extended 2057 contracts: As of October 2026, resale listings on this site were asking an average of $110.00 per point, but only 3 were listed, from $100 to $115.

Three listings is too few to call a pattern. Still, the extended contract gives you nearly twice the remaining term for a modest premium in that snapshot. Your decision comes down to how long you plan to own. A buyer who expects to use DVC for a decade may be content with 2042. A buyer planning for grandchildren should look hard at 2057.

Listings do not always label the type clearly. Confirm the expiration date in writing before you make an offer, and check it again on the closing documents.

Annual Dues Are Identical

Old Key West dues are $11.21 per point in 2026 for both contract types. The rate was $8.36 in 2021, then $8.81, $9.36, $9.87, and $10.50 before reaching $11.21. That is an increase of $2.85 per point in five years. Among Walt Disney World resorts in 2026, only the Cabins at Fort Wilderness charge more. The Resort Itself

Old Key West was the first Disney Vacation Club resort, with a Florida Keys theme of pastel buildings along a waterway and a golf course. Boats run to Disney Springs. It suits owners who value roomy villas and a quiet base over being close to a park entrance.

Booking Priority and Resale Rules

Home resort ownership opens Old Key West to you at 11 months, while other members wait until 7 months. Resale Old Key West points cannot be used at Riviera Resort, the Disneyland Hotel villas, or the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, and resale buyers do not receive Membership Extras or the Sorcerer Pass discount.
