Buying Polynesian DVC Resale

As of October 2026, resale listings on this site were asking an average of $177.59 per point for Polynesian Villas and Bungalows contracts. That was the highest average of any Walt Disney World resort in the snapshot. The 18 listings ran from $159 to $196.

The reason is not hard to find. The Polynesian faces Magic Kingdom across the Seven Seas Lagoon, sits on the monorail line, and carries a South Pacific theme that many families grew up visiting. Demand to stay there is steady, and the only way to book it reliably is to own it.

Owning here suits you if Magic Kingdom and the lagoon are the heart of your trips and you want the same view year after year. It suits you less if you mostly visit Epcot or Animal Kingdom, where a contract at a resort closer to those parks may serve your plans better for less money up front.

The 11 Month Window Is the Point

Polynesian owners can reserve their home resort 11 months before check in. Owners from other resorts get their first chance at 7 months. For holiday weeks and school breaks at a resort this popular, that four month head start often decides whether you get a room at all. A resale buyer keeps the full 11 month priority.

Annual Dues With an Unusual Dip

Polynesian dues rose from $7.05 per point in 2021 to $7.39 in 2022, $7.95 in 2023, and $8.23 in 2024. In 2025 they fell to $7.93. In 2026 they are $8.33. Across the five years that is an increase of $1.28 per point. The 2026 rate is the second lowest at Walt Disney World, just above Grand Floridian at $8.31. How the 2066 End Date Affects Value

Polynesian contracts expire January 31, 2066, about 40 years from 2026. A high price per point is easier to justify when it is spread over four decades of allotments. Low dues help too. If you are comparing a Polynesian contract with a cheaper 2042 resort, look at cost per year of use, not just the asking price. What Resale Changes

Resale Polynesian points work at your home resort and at the original DVC resorts at 7 months. They do not work at Riviera Resort, the Disneyland Hotel villas, or the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Membership Extras and the Sorcerer Pass discount are not available to resale buyers. You keep banking, borrowing, and the right to sell the contract later.

Supply is limited compared with larger resorts. Watch the Polynesian resale listings for the use year you want, since an uncommon use year can be harder to sell later.
