Buying Hilton Head DVC Resale

A Hilton Head resale contract is a short purchase, and the price says so. All Hilton Head contracts expires January 31, 2042. As of 2026 that leaves about 16 years. If you want to use Disney Vacation Club for the next 30 years, a Hilton Head contract alone cannot do it.

As of October 2026, resale listings on this site were asking an average of $71.20 per point. Ten contracts were listed, with asking prices from $67 to $76. That band is narrow. Sellers in the snapshot were pricing roughly 16 years of Hilton Head points in close agreement with one another.

What You Are Buying

Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, far from any theme park. It is a pleasant Lowcountry style resort for people who want an island town, a beach, and bike paths. You should buy it because you plan to go to Hilton Head. Buying it as a cheap way to reach Orlando means paying high dues for a resort you rarely visit.

The Dues Side of the Tradeoff

Hilton Head annual dues are $12.86 per point in 2026, the second highest in the system after Vero Beach. Here is how the rate has moved:

The total climb is $2.89 per point, and the single biggest step was the most recent one, $0.94 from 2025 to 2026. Why Years Remaining Drive the Price

You are buying a fixed number of annual point allotments. Sixteen allotments cost less than forty. Each year that passes removes one, which is why 2042 resorts carry the lowest price per point on the resale market. Our resort expiration dates page lines up the end date for each resort. A 2042 contract bought today and a 2066 contract bought today are different products, even when the asking prices look comparable on a quick scan.

Booking and Restrictions

As a Hilton Head owner, you book Hilton Head at 11 months before check in. For stays at the original Walt Disney World resorts, you book at 7 months like any member from another home resort.

Resale points from Hilton Head cannot be used at Riviera Resort, the Disneyland Hotel villas, or the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Membership Extras and the Sorcerer Pass discount do not transfer to resale buyers. Banking, borrowing, and the right to resell do. If you hold points you cannot use in a given year, banking them forward is how you avoid paying high dues for nothing.
