Editorial Standards and Data Sources

Last reviewed: October 2026

DVC Resale Plus publishes cost, annual dues, and contract information for people researching a Disney Vacation Club resale purchase. A decision involving tens of thousands of dollars deserves numbers you can check. These are the rules every page on this site follows.

Where the numbers come from

Annual dues. Dues are set once a year, per point, for each resort. Our annual dues by resort table shows the current year's rates and is reviewed each January when new rates take effect.

Contract end dates. Every DVC resort has a fixed expiration date of January 31 in a set year. The dates on our resort expiration page and in the cost calculator come from those deeded end dates. Old Key West is listed twice because original contracts end in 2042 and extended contracts end in 2057.

Asking prices. Prices on our resale listings are the asking prices published by the listing brokers. Listings refresh automatically several times a day. When an article quotes an average asking price, it names the date of the snapshot. An asking price is not a sold price, and we never present one as the other.

Buyer fees. Figures such as the Disney Contract Administration Fee are checked against current published amounts before they appear in an article.

What we will not publish

  • A statistic we cannot trace to a named, current source.
  • A forecast of future prices, dues, or resale values.
  • A claim that any contract will pass Disney's Right of First Refusal (ROFR), or that a closing will happen by a specific date.
  • A description of resale ownership that hides its restrictions. Resale buyers lose Membership Extras and cannot use resale points at Riviera Resort or at resorts added after 2019. Pages that discuss resale value say so.

Independence

DVC Resale Plus is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney or Disney Vacation Club. Disney, Disney Vacation Club, and resort names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the properties being discussed.

Updates and corrections

Every data page shows when it was last reviewed. Articles are updated when the figures they rely on change, and the update date changes with them. If you find a number that looks wrong, tell us through the contact form. We check every report against the source and correct confirmed errors.
