Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

Buying Aulani DVC Resale

Most people who buy Aulani resale have one plan in mind: regular trips to Hawaii. The resort sits at Ko Olina on the west side of Oahu, far from any theme park, and that single fact shapes most of the decision about whether a contract here makes sense for you.

If you picture yourself on Oahu once a year or once in two years, owning Aulani gives you the 11 month home resort booking window for the island. If Hawaii is a once in a decade trip and Florida is your real destination, a Walt Disney World home resort will usually serve you better, since Aulani points only reach the Florida resorts at the 7 month mark.

Listings and asking prices

As of October 2026, resale listings on this site were asking an average of $98.86 per point for Aulani. Aulani also had more listings on this site than any other resort in the October 2026 snapshot, 148 of them. A wide selection gives you room to be particular about use year, contract size, and banked points instead of taking whatever happens to be available.

Two dues rates to check

The standard Aulani annual dues rate rose from $8.35 per point in 2021 to $10.96 per point in 2026. That is an increase of $2.61 per point over five years, and $10.96 places Aulani among the higher dues rates in the system.

Some Aulani contracts carry a separate subsidized dues rate, which is listed on the DVC annual dues by resort page. Which rate applies depends on the specific contract. Ask for that detail in writing before you make an offer, because the difference changes your yearly cost for as long as you own the points.

Low asking prices and higher dues often travel together. A buyer who looks only at price per point can end up paying more over the life of the contract than a buyer who paid more upfront at a resort with lower dues. Run both numbers through the DVC cost of ownership calculator before deciding.

Contract length

Aulani contracts end on January 31, 2062, about 35 years from now. That is one of the longer runs among resorts that resale buyers can still use without the post-2019 restrictions. Spread across that many years, the purchase price becomes a smaller share of your total cost, and annual dues become the larger one.

What a resale buyer keeps and gives up

You keep the 11 month window at Aulani, the 7 month window at the original Florida and California resorts, banking, borrowing, and the right to resell. You lose Membership Extras and the Sorcerer Pass discount. Resale Aulani points cannot be used at Riviera Resort or at resorts added after 2019, including the Disneyland Hotel villas and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness.
