Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas
Walt Disney World Resort, Florida
Overview
Experience the magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge with these stunning villas that blend African-inspired architecture with modern Disney luxury. Enjoy breathtaking savanna views, exceptional dining, and convenient access to all Walt Disney World parks.
Buying Animal Kingdom Villas DVC Resale
Giraffes, zebras, and other animals graze on open savanna right outside the windows at Animal Kingdom Villas. The resort has two villa sections, Jambo House and Kidani Village, and both sit under the same home resort. A resale contract here lets you book either one at 11 months.
This is a resort for people who want a slower pace between park days. No monorail or walking path connects it to a park, so you rely on Disney buses or your own car. Some buyers see that as a drawback. Others choose it precisely because the evenings feel removed from the crowds.
Contract length and what it means for value
Animal Kingdom Villas contracts expire on January 31, 2057. From late 2026 that leaves just over 30 years of use. That is long enough for a family with young children to keep using the contract well into those children's adult years, and it sits in the middle of the Walt Disney World range: longer than the 2042 resorts, shorter than the newest deeds.
Years remaining shape resale value more than most buyers expect. Two contracts with the same points and the same use year can be worth different amounts simply because one has more years left on the deed. Compare end dates side by side on the DVC resort expiration dates page before you settle on a price you think is fair.
Annual dues trend
Annual dues at Animal Kingdom Villas rose from $8.07 per point in 2021 to $10.16 per point in 2026. The rate went up in each of those years, and 2026 is the first year it passed $10. On a 160 point contract, the 2026 rate works out to $1,625.60 for the year, whether or not you travel.
That number belongs in your budget before the purchase price does. You can see how this resort compares with the rest of the system on the DVC annual dues by resort page.
Asking prices
As of October 2026, resale listings on this site were asking an average of $116.20 per point for Animal Kingdom Villas. That sits well below the average for Bay Lake Tower, a resort within walking distance of Magic Kingdom, and the gap reflects the bus based location more than anything else.
Current contracts are listed under Animal Kingdom Villas resale listings, where you can compare point totals, use years, and banked points.
The 11 month window
Owning here gives you the right to book Animal Kingdom Villas 11 months before check in. Members from other resorts wait until 7 months. If a savanna view studio over a holiday week is the goal, those four extra months are the most direct way to get a fair shot at it.
Resale buyers keep that 11 month priority. You do give up Membership Extras and the Sorcerer Pass discount, and resale points from this resort cannot be used at Riviera Resort or at resorts added after 2019, such as the Disneyland Hotel villas and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. You keep banking, borrowing, the 7 month window at the original resorts, and the right to resell.
